    proprietary protocol that requires licensing and has been behind in every way vs DP

    Hard pass. Only if they axed the licensing fee would I start to consider it as an alternative. Right now it’s just a grift.

      I can’t see myself upgrading my TV or attached devices for quite a while

      It already does 4k 120hz and that is never used by me, can’t imagine any new TV tech selling me on an upgrade for the next 10 years
