Like this symbol was largely obsolete except as an honorific title for “Habibi Che” and no-one else. I was using the symbol after the title of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, though, which may or may not have been a faux pas.

When I found out about this “habibi” symbol, I remarked on how it looked more like a Chinese character than Arabic writing. Supposedly that was “because of the Silk Road”, i.e. that this glyph came to Arabic from Chinese.
